Vehicle Theft Arrest

On January 23, 2024, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office received a report of a stolen vehicle from a citizen who resides near La Grange, Missouri.  Upon further investigation, it was determined a family member had taken the vehicle without permission.  The suspect was believed to have traveled to Quincy or Hannibal.

Deputies entered the vehicle as stolen and then asked for assistance from the Quincy Police Department.  The vehicle was located in Quincy and the driver, Brian Logsdon, was taken into custody.

On January 23, 2024, Prosecuting Attorney Chelsea Fellinger filed one felony count of stealing a motor vehicle, a class D felony.  Mr. Logsdon remains incarcerated in the Lewis County Jail on no bond.  He is also incarcerated for violating bond conditions in relation to prior criminal charges, including domestic assault and violating an order of protection.
