Lewis County Jail

The current Lewis County Jail has been in continuous operation since 1997. The facility has the capacity to house 18 Inmates, with a daily population that typically averages between 9 and 13 inmates, depending on the year.

Most Inmates are held on pre-trial state charges filed by the Lewis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. In addition to housing local Inmates, the Lewis County Jail also provides detention services for neighboring counties and municipalities as needed.
