Law Enforcement Soccer League

Lewis County Law Enforcement Soccer League
Since 1995, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office has proudly sponsored the Law Enforcement Soccer League, a program originally established under the direction of Lewis County Prosecuting Attorney Jake DeCoster.
With the support of parents, local businesses, and law enforcement officers, the league provides children from pre-K through sixth grade the opportunity to participate in a two-month soccer season each fall.
This program has been instrumental in fostering positive relationships between elementary students and law enforcement, allowing young people to interact with officers in a fun, encouraging environment. At the same time, parents, grandparents, and community members gain the opportunity to see law enforcement in a different and positive role-one built on teamwork, mentorship, and community connection.
Lewis County Law Enforcement Soccer League - 31st Season Recap
This fall, more than 300 Lewis County children-from pre-K through sixth grade-took part in the 31st Annual Lewis County Law Enforcement Soccer League.
Founded in 1995 by Jake and Kathy DeCoster, the league was created to provide a free soccer program for all local youth while strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the community.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the local businesses and community members whose ongoing generosity has sustained the league for more than three decades. Because of their support, every child receives a league T-shirt each season. We encourage everyone to support these businesses that continue to invest in our community's youth.
A special thank-you goes to Jen Lay and Jake DeCoster of DeCoster Law for their outstanding dedication in organizing the league each year. Their hard work and commitment make this program possible.
We also wish to recognize all of the parents and volunteer coaches who devote their time to mentoring our young athletes. Their guidance ensures that the league continues to emphasize teamwork, good sportsmanship, and fun above all else.
Finally, we want to celebrate the kids themselves-whose enthusiasm, effort, and love of the game truly define what this league is about.
We're already looking forward to our 32nd year of soccer, friendship, and community spirit.
Stay safe, and see you on the field!
