            Arrested Individual: Alexandrea M. Kelsey, age 21, of Ewing, Missouri

Incident Background:

            Date of Incident: January 10, 2026

            Location: Ewing, Missouri 

            Time: 2:00 a.m.

            Details: On January 10, 2026, a Lewis County Sheriff's Office deputy was called to a residence in Ewing, Missouri to investigate a domestic disturbance in progress.  Upon arrival, Deputy Steve Battaglia, made contact with Alexandrea M. Kelsey and her boyfriend.  The male subject had injuries to his face and mouth and alleged Ms. Kelsey had struck him several times in the face with her fist.  

Deputy Steve Battaglia arrested Ms. Kelsey and placed her in the Lewis County Jail.  He then sought formal charges for domestic assault.   

On January 10, 2026, Lewis County Prosecutor Chelsea Fellinger filed formal charges alleging Ms. Kelsey had committed the class E felony of domestic assault in the third degree.    

On January 10, 2026, the Honorable Corey Moon, Associate Judge of Lewis County, issued a warrant for Ms. Kelsey and set bond at $10,000.00.

On January 13, 2026, Ms. Kelsey was released from jail with several bond conditions. 

"All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."
