Location: 302 West Clarice Street, Ewing, Missouri
Time: 11:10 a.m.
Details: On September 28, 2025, members of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office were called to a report of an assault that had occurred at 302 West Clarice Street, Ewing, Lewis County, Missouri, on September 27th. During the course of the investigation the deputy received information that Paul Hatfield had struck his minor child several times, causing his nose to bleed. The deputy received further information that Paul Hatfield had also assaulted a female resident of the home on September 25th and caused injury to her upper arm. The deputy observed injuries that corroborated the victim's statements. Mr. Hatfield was then arrested for assaulting both individuals.
Deputy Mathias Frank sought formal charges through the Lewis County Prosecutor, Chelsea Fellinger. On September 29, 2025, Mrs. Fellinger filed one count alleging Mr. Hatfield had committed the class E felony of assault in the 3rd degree, and one count of abuse or neglect of a child, a class D felony.
The Honorable Corey Moon, Associate Judge, then issued a warrant for Mr. Hatfield. Mr. Hatfield remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 cash only bond.
