Incident Details:

            Arrested Individual: Paul R. Hatfield, age 51, of Lewistown, Missouri

            Arrest Date: August 17, 2025

            Arrest Location: Lewistown, Missouri

            Arrest Agency: Lewis County Sheriff's Office

            Charge: Class E felony, Operating motor vehicle without valid license, 3rd or more offense.

Incident Background:

            Date of Incident: August 17, 2025

            Location: Maywood, Missouri 

            Time: 6:41 p.m.

            Details: On August 17, 2025, Deputy Steve Battaglia was on patrol in Lewistown, Missouri when he observed Paul R. Hatfield, driving a white Chevrolet Cruze, on Pine Street.  He knew Hatfield did not have a valid license and initiated a traffic stop.  Hatfield was arrested and taken into custody and transported to the Lewis County Jail.  

Deputy Battaglia then sought formal charges through the Lewis County Prosecutor Chelsea Fellinger.  Hatfield was then charged with the class E felony of operating a motor vehicle without valid license, 3rd or more offense, on August 18, 2025.   

The Honorable Corey Moon, Associate Judge, then issued a warrant for Mr. Hatfield.  

Hatfield was lodged in the Lewis County Jail and released on his own recognizance during his arraignment on August 18, 2025.
